2010 edition of the Long Beach State Pyramid Run 5K and 1 Mile Kid's Run is now set. The event will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010. The USATF-certified 5K run will be held on a fast, scenic course located entirely within the beautiful CSULB campus. It will begin at 10:00 AM. Runners, joggers, and walkers of all abilities will find this an enjoyable event. A 1 mile Kid's Run (ages up to 16 years) will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Awards (including prize money for top 5K finishers) will be made immediately after the Kid's Run. Both events benefit the Long Beach State Track and Field/Cross Country programs.
Popular amenities include free, on-site parking, ample restroom facilities, chip timing (with race splits at 1 mile, 2 mile, and 3 mile points), interactive online results, pacing services, race photos and video, and (new for 2010) an on-site food and beverage concession.

As entry numbers are rising for the November 8 Pyramid 5K Run/Walk, we are pleased to announce that CSULB President F. King Alexander has agreed to compete in the race.
We look forward to his participation and invite all of you to come early to the race to participate in a meet and greet with him.

Pyramid Run Leadership Committee signs deal to bring the full service timing company, Race Central, to provide ChronoTrack (tm) technology for the Pyramid 5K Run/Walk and Kid's Run on Sunday, November 8, 2009. Runners will have immediate access to their mile splits and race times after the race. "The benefit of using the new d-tag (disposable tag) technology is there will be no need to return chips; participants finish the race and are free to return to their day, worry free," Wayne Stickney, race director.
